About

Amanda Brush, an avid writer at 36, draws inspiration from the scenic landscapes of Northwest Arkansas, where she calls home, often finding solace in exploring the outdoors with her husband, son, and dog by her side. Drawing from her life to craft poignant nonfiction pieces and compelling memoirs, her words capture the essence of the most pivotal individuals in her life, especially the relationship with her late mother. When not immersed in writing, Amanda can be found enjoying mini adventures, browsing independent bookstores, and laughing over a good meal with friends.

Write Everything.

“Everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
— Sylvia Plath

Write Your Fears.

“Write what disturbs you, what you fear, what you have not been willing to speak about.
Be willing to be split open.”
— Natalie Goldberg

Write Like You Mean It.

“Do not hoard what seems good for a later place in the book, or for another book; give it,
give it all, give it now.”
— Annie Dillard

Looking at the world with curious eyes…

I am living in a world of limitless possibilities, where the journey is as exhilarating as the destination, and where every moment is an opportunity to make my mark on the page. The only limit is the extent of my imagination.
